Review of Godzilla (1998) by Playertu — 11 Jun 2019

People hate this movie because Godzilla's face doesn't resemble a retarded panther and because he doesn't have an atomic breath. I agree, '98 Godzilla isn't Godzilla, but that doesn't mean it's a bad monster movie. Emmerich went for a Godzilla with a more realistic design and posture. If Godzilla was real, this is what he would look like, and not like Japanese Godzilla which was designed back when people thought that bipedal dinosaurs walked in an upright position.

What I don't like so much about the movie is the acting (not horrible, but not great either), that two missiles was enough to blow the Madison Square Garden to bits and the fact that they killed Godzilla with a couple of missiles. Godzilla fleeing back into the sea would have been a better ending.
