Review of Gods of Egypt (2016) by Ronnel A — 18 Jun 2016
Egypt's never looked so good, with a spectacular computer generated city on a grand scale, with everyone and everything looking at its best. Unfortunately, that's the only thing really going for this film, other than the inventive interpretation of the Sun going round the Earth.
The acting is terrible, the plot weak and convoluted as it sloppily jumps from one scene to the next and although most of the action scenes look good, some are truly awful. Cheesy and family friendly, the jokes all fall flat and even at its best, it's barely entertaining.
