Okay, lets be straight: "Gods Of Egypt" is a fantasy flick without depth and it has some mistakes. But I found it incredibly entertaining and even if some of the effects are a bit to obvious, the visuals were stunning and I loved them.
The cast was nice and I just had a good time. There is one thing I did not like, though, and that is an american thing. They totally left one of the most beloved and major goddesses out: Isis. Instead they gave her sister Nephthys a spotlight.
Guess they were to wimpy to use the name Isis for political reasons. And that made me a bit angry as Isis deserved to be mentioned in a flick that is based on the Egyptian pantheon and mythology (even if very loosely based on it ;) ) .
.. But otherwise I had a good time and enjoyed it.. :).
