You ever watch one of those movies that you turn on in the background and kinda do other stuff, but then ten minutes in you just start watching it and end up finishing the entire thing. Well that's what happened to me here.

The film is a complete mess, but it's one of those it's so bad that it's almost good. The movie stars with the god Set (Gerard Butler) taking the eyes of Horus (Nikolaj Costar-Waldau) and killing the old king of the gods.

Horus leaves the lands into a self imposed exile and the people are forced into labor suffering making a shrine for Set for many years. A young thief named Bek (Brenton Thwaites) decides to steal one of Horus' eyes back and team up with the god to restore peace to the lands.

Ok so that's the basic jist of the film. First off the movie was definitely miscast (as the film is most likely known for) they have a lot of white dudes playing as Egyptian gods which doesn't quite make sense there.

If only that was the only problem. The film has some god awful CGi work here. I mean I understand if this came out in 1999, but the green screen and terrible sets were very noticeable. I'm not sure if maybe the film was more of an experience in IMAX and in 3D, but hey I saw it on a regular screen and wow was it bad.

The acting is kinda all over the place and really no one is very likeable. The plot is ridiculous and even the action looks corny (because of said CGI). Overall, this is a skip for most, but why did I actually finish this thing? I guess I wanted to see how the story played out, but like I said before this movie is so bad that it's almost enjoyable to watch!
