Review of Gods of Egypt (2016) by Jerome K — 05 Mar 2016
It's a highly fun adventure which thrills and entertains the kid in all of us with the usual doses of fantastical SFX and prerequisite over-the-top acting but laced throughout with humorous dialog and good chemistry (especially the one between Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Brenton Thwaites) among the well casted performers.
Although Gerard Butler is allowed to keep his Scottish accent but his near Sparta persona fits in nicely. Elodie Yung's performance as the Goddess of Love is memorable. Once again it goes to prove movie critics are just a bunch of jealous failed wannabe film makers who mostly cannot follow their hearts and formulate a truthful review but instead follow the rest of the wolf pack condemning films that are not based on "best-selling novels" or so-called "true events".
I enjoyed it tremendously.
