Review of Gods of Egypt (2016) by Nicholas D — 22 May 2017
Ah Gods of Egypt the movie everyone had their mind made up about before even setting foot in the theater. Is the CGI good? That's a mixed bag. Is there whitewashing? Sure if you can prove Ancient Egyptians were black with some kind of defense beyond (Aren't all Africans black? Which as a question kind of makes you more racist than this movie) Is the acting good? Sure I mean cmon its Gerard Butler and several other good actors.
The story can be a bit of a mess but honestly. This was far from being the worst movie of 2016 and definitely more deserving of a watch than most people would have you believe.
