Review of God's Not Dead (2014) by Kit P — 19 Apr 2015
While this movie can be a bit too perfect at times, and also quite over the top, with a few acting issues, as well as camera and lighting, despite all of that I think this film overcomes it all with an overall message many can relate to.
Yes I know God is a strong word, and to celebrate that word is even stronger. However, even if you don't believe there are many things in life that we at one time or another must stand up for even if all odds are against us.
It's what makes us who we are and that is universal. For the believers this is a dream come true, complete with God smiting the Atheist at the end of the film (spoilers!), however I encourage you too see past those aspects, and see that we don't live in a perfect world, however that doesn't mean you cannot stop in believing what you want.
We must all accept each other for who we really are no matter what the situation, and when you are faced with someone who will not allow you to be you, you have to have the courage to say "no" and walk away.
If they chase after you have even the greater courage to look them in the eye and not only say "no" again but explain to them why. Just remember if you do succeed to get someone to stop and let you be, don't return the favor by mowing down someone else because they are different than you.
Remember the line from the movie "at the end of the day God wants you to decide for yourself. We all have the right to choose who we want to be.".
