Review of God's Not Dead (2014) by Cameran C — 07 Aug 2014
The film may have a decided agenda but it hits the nail right on the head. We have a college professor named Radisson (K. Sorbo) who teaches philosophy and a college freshman who is a Christian named Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper).
They will clash and collide when the professor announces that all the students will need to write three simple words on a piece of paper in order to continue the course: God is dead. The students are scared of failing so all except Josh do as the professor asked.
Radisson assigns him a daunting task: if Josh will not admit that "God Is Dead," he must prove God's existence by presenting well-researched, intellectual arguments and evidence over the course of the semester, and engage Radisson in a head-to-head debate in front of the class.
If Josh fails to convince his classmates of God's existence, he will fail the course and hinder his lofty academic goals. The script is solid, great arguments and the ending was a bit unexpected but I do recommend the film and one last thing, which is the most important: GOD IS NOT DEAD!
