Review of God's Not Dead (2014) by Bantam — 16 Apr 2014
Two-dimensional characters, ridiculous and boring dialogue, melodramatic acting out of incredibly convoluted and uninteresting scenarios, and an overall stupid message. Anybody that's been to college knows that these kind of situations simply don't happen. Any professor that required students to give a statement of faith counter to their real faith in order to get a passing grade would be sued and terminated by the university. Further, there is no way that a college in the south would have an entire freshman class full of people willing to go along with such a request (save for the one hero of the story).
The fact that this movie was based on a debunked chain email is really the worst part, though. This is nothing more than pandering to group of people who cannot think for themselves and who will put money into the pockets of the film's creators.
This is easily the worst movie I've ever seen.
