Review of God's Not Dead (2014) by Thenile — 15 Apr 2014
The setting is rather absurd. It is actually surreal, but of course it was done to invoke fear into Christians (welcome the world of minorities (forget about discrimination)). The professor is rather absurd, especially for a philosopher - actually a philosopher who is a Misotheist in itself is rather unbelievable to me.
Besides the overall terrible acting, the film isn't actually that bad once you remove the ideas this film is trying to propel outwards. But it's just so unrealistic, I feel as if many Christians wouldn't enjoy it as I know many Christians don't live in this surreal world. If anyone ends up thinking "yes, we have to stop atheism!" then their faith is probably too weak.
