Review of God's Not Dead (2014) by Brandy S — 15 Apr 2015
This movie seems like an attempt to make atheists look like jerks. The fact that the professor may have been a bully cannot be used as an argument that atheists are evil. Most of the Christan movies I have seen using this method of convincing people that we are better off believing in a god whether it exists or not so that we have something to make us behave good.
It's just like the Santa Claus myth. A lie told because of its usefulness rather than any truth. Also, Free Will was Josh Wheaton's last defense against the problem of evil, but there are multiple problems with this.
Anyone who knows what tragedies exist in this world that humans can do nothing about such as natural disasters will see that the problem of evil still stands. This movie however makes it appear as if it was "God's Will" for Professor Raddison to be hit with that car.
Does anybody really care about this? No, they just want to convert the man while he is dying. This movie makes me sick.
