Better than the first film. This plays more as a courtroom drama, with faith being a central part of the story, rather than a preachy fable (like the first one). It certainly has a specific audience. As a sequel film goes, how often can you say that the sequel (granted in title only in this case) surpasses the first one? Such is the case here.
