I've been patiently waiting for this movie to become available to me and now that it finally has, I've got quite a lot to say about it! The story follows a teacher, Grace, who is being sued because during class she quoted Jesus as an answer to a student's, Brooke, question which also included Jesus.

And now because of that "scandal" this movie becomes a courtroom drama, and not a good one at that. There are a few other smaller storylines, but they're really uninteresting and unnecessary, so I'm gonna leave them for later.

The main problem with this movie is the same problem that the first God's Not Dead had. Christian propaganda. Again are the atheists and other non-believers in Jesus made to look like the worst people on Earth and believers are portrayed as the best there is.

The thing with courtroom movies is that they're supposed to show both sides of the story very well, and not stand on just one side of the case, which is exactly what this movie does. This movie is made by Christians, for Christians, but I don't think even Christians could fully enjoy this movie because of how everything is ridiculous and overblown.

So, instead of a balanced court case, what we get is a one-sided, predictable and hilarious trial. The atheists in this movie are beyond evil, the main villain of the movie is this lawyer who is against Grace going free and his dialogue and the way he says his lines is very creepy.

There are a few parts where he almost seems like a super villain from the Marvel or DC universes, it's hilarious. I will admit that some parts of the movie were interesting. There's parts of the movie where they actually bring up some interesting statements, but the problem with that is that those statements are in favor of Grace.

You won't hear any interesting statements in favor of the evil atheists. Also what I had noticed was that when Grace's lawyer was interrogating the witnesses, there weren't any objections from the evil atheist (maybe 2 or three), but when the evil atheist goes to question the witness, our good guy keeps yelling "Objection!" and it really becomes annoying.

The best improvement this movie offered was that there's actually one atheist character who is a good guy. But, that is ruined because he's Grace's lawyer and even though he's an atheist he always agrees with what Grace recommends they should do next in court.

She recommends that they should prove that Jesus was real, and the guy, being an atheist, we expect to say that they should not do that, but he says it's a great idea! I really don't understand his character whatsoever.

He feels like a Christian in disguise, it's really weird. Newsboys are back! The ending is hilarious. Newsboys tell everyone on their concert to pray and we see a montage of people praying inside and outside the concert arena, and suddenly, guess what, Grace walks free! Huzzah! Now, you can argue that it's an accident that they prayed and she walked free, but the movie makes it seem like it's the prayer that allowed her to walk free, not the jury, not the judge.

God. Then Newsboys sing two songs, God's not Dead included, the same song from the first movie. And it ends with a message to text everyone you know a message about "making Jesus known".

All in all, a completely unnecessary movie filled with bad propaganda, unrealistic portrayal of characters, boring soundtrack and a ridiculous story with an even more ridiculous ending. I would recommend this movie just for the laughs that come with it.
