This movie snuck up on me at the time. I thought they should have kept the original title "Father of Frankenstein", it might have appealed to more people, and probably pissed a lot more people off.
Probably a dream role for McKellan. Fraser and Redgrave dominant the screen that is mostly dialogue. Will make you want to rewatch, Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein again. "There was a time when this place was full of pricks.
Big, hard, arrogant pricks.".
