Review of Gods and Monsters (1998) by Mackenzie S — 29 Jun 2008
How about I say that Ian McKellen has a knack for portraying both the inside and outside of his characters simultaneously that draws you in like a ride at Disneyland. Keeping all your senses keen. Even if he were playing a rock he would kill.
Hollywood is a strange creation, brought to life by strange people. Memory, pain and fantasy coexist with real life woes. I enjoyed the subject matter, the choice to develop a script around an interesting figure from the old days of cinema.
Anything personal is interesting.
