Review of Gods and Monsters (1998) by David Ray G — 14 Jul 2008
An ambiguous and fantastical film that gets into the depths of regret and horrors of life. Unfortuneatly the budget restrictions make the flashback and dream sequences look very cheap but all is forgiven for the scenes between McKellen and Fraser, which spark with electricity and great chemestry.
Fraser has never been better and McKellen fits his part like a glove. Revelling in Whale's flamboyance and intelligence.
