Review of Gods and Generals (2003) by Chris C — 05 Aug 2007
It saddens me that this film went largely unappreciated in theaters. A fact that possibly jeopardizes the production of the final film. Attempting to summarize the first two years of the war was a daunting task and Maxwell did a good job.
I regret that the film had many lulls and centered too heavily on Stonewall Jackson. As with many movies, the book was so much better.
