Review of Gods and Generals (2003) by Kyle G — 04 Nov 2007
As a huge civil war buff and a big fan of the film "Gettysburg," I was really looking forward to this prequel. Sadly, I was a bit dissappointed. Even being a huge civil war buff, 230 minutes is a loooooooooong time to watch a movie, especially one that features as little battle footage during that time as this one does.
It was a bit bloated and lacking the same dramatic punch that made "Gettysburg" such an enjoyable film for me.
