Review of Gods and Generals (2003) by Jessica B — 15 Feb 2007
I love learning about the Civil War, I admit it. My dad, who is a reenactor in his spare time, is pretty much the reason I eagerly volunteered to see this movie. I'm glad I did. You don't just see it from the Northern side- as is much of the films ever made point to (the winners write the books). No, you get to see how BOTH sides were, and how, most of the time, it WAS brother vs. brother.
The major scene that stuck out, to me, was the creek scene were the North and the South were not fighting, and crossed the river to meet each other to trade supplies. Funny world, isn't it?
