Review of Gods and Generals (2003) by Joelandcharity K — 11 Sep 2007
A great prequel to Gettysburg using most of the same actors with the exception of Robert Duvall taking the place of Martin Sheen as Robert E. Lee and Stephen Lang is now Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson instead of Pickett. A great flick that did poorly at the box office.
The only problem is that as of right now there are only the first two parts of a trilogy. If only it would be profitable to make The Last Full Measure. Oh well...
If you're a civil war buff, you'll love this movie. If you aren't, The Blue and the Grey is a better place to start.
