Review of God Grew Tired of Us (2006) by Hamad S — 28 Apr 2009
I kept a box of tissues close by but did not use a single sheet, because, apparently it was more thought-provoking than tear-jerking (thats a good thing). Quinn does a good job of exposing issues which many may be ignorant about, like refugee life in America, but falls short of contextualizing those issues within the global political (nation-statist) and economic (neoliberal) power-play.
