Review of God Bless America (2012) by Brian S — 26 Sep 2012
Very, very dark satire that intermarries the vibes of Falling Down, Idiocracy and a little bit of Heathers. A man who thinks he's dying decides to fix what's wrong with America... by killing it.
A comedic swipe about the cruelty and soullessness of American culture, celebrity worship, and everyone's burning desire for their 15 minutes of fame with some very convincing, deadpan performances and a final, ringing indictment of what a shell we've become.
Must-see flick for those who enjoyed the films I listed previously. You may find yourself cheering, and you might not know why. Easily the best thing Bobcat Goldthwait has created to date.
