Who hasn't fantasised about murdering Diablo Cody or the entire ensemble on American Idol? And yet, God Bless America is at its best in its dark, introspective moments rather than its 'murder the Westboro baptists' wish-fulfilment ones.
It is a biting satire of today's media fuelled ADD culture that at times slides into unapologetic leftism but manages to come out with its head held high. Totally worth watching.
