Review of Goal II: Living the Dream (2007) by Phil N — 29 Jul 2008

Munez moves to Real Madrid for part 2 of the Goal trilogy. It's not as much fun as the first film with too many sports cliches slipping in and a rather tedious plotline regarding his family, but it still qualifies as a guilty pleasure.

As before it's Nivola's laddish Gavin Harris who steals every scene he's in, but the real saving grace is the actual footballers and game footage which gives the project a whiff of authenticity that most football films lack.
