Review of Goal II: Living the Dream (2007) by Joe A — 09 Jan 2011
Better than the first, but still has some of the same problem as the first. 1) the lead Kuno Becker is a terrible actor. it's not like they needed someone that could play soccer, cuz soccer is only shown 10% of the time. wish they had done better casting the first time around. 2) the cgi shot of the actors playing during a real televise soccer game are pretty bad and totally noticeable. 3) and this is the most obvious. the story is absurd and sooo cliche. 4) COME ON WITH THAT ENDING!!!
Plus side, 1) Anna Friel, I'm a big fan of hers, and was completely disappointed when Pushing Daisies was cancelled. 2) appearance by Nick Cannon was funny, it wasn't meant to be, but it was funny to me. and 3) sound track was decent although a bit outdated.
I will try to see #3, but mainly to finish off the story, since i've already invested 2 movies. seeing as it's the world cup this time will make it interesting. and i'm really wondering as to who Munez plays for. Mexico? US? or England?
