Before the wonderful TV series "Tour Of Duty" and movies such as "Full Metal Jacket" and "Platoon" that dealt with the Vietnam War, there was "Go Tell the Spartans".
I thought this movie was really good. It gave important insights into the very early stages of American involvement in the conflict. Burt Lancaster is simply fantastic in the lead role. This is a quality and very believable war movie that deserves to be better known.
