Review of Gnomeo & Juliet (2011) by Carla Nicole R — 12 Aug 2011
Apparently babysitting 2 little girls means you watch a lot of things you weren't planning to. However, that being said, there were a few chuckles here, and it wasn't horribly smarmy or gushy, so not too bad.
Bonus with the Elton John soundtrack. (and that means actual songs, like Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting, Crocodile Rock, etc., not the Disney music) That's what happens when he executive produces it.
If he wants to keep doing Shakespeare adaptations as animated fare, I think he'll do alright. You know, if that music thing doesn't work out for him. Well suitable to children of all ages.
