Review of Gnomeo & Juliet (2011) by Cody W — 13 Nov 2011

Kinda interesting, wasn't as funny as it could've been, though I really liked the flamingo for some reason. Not surprised to see Elton John as the executive producer, as his work was referenced numerous times (the film is even credited as a "Rocket Pictures production"). I think maybe more Shakespearean knowledge on my part would've helped, as I did notice one reference (look for the name on the moving van seen halfway through the film). It was cute, but far from great.

(P.S.: Definitely got a kick out of Shakespeare's cameo near the end).
