Review of Glory Road (2006) by Simon R — 12 Apr 2010
The nice thing about a true story is that really happen. The sure recipe for a succeful movie is to create a true story because people are more likely attentive. This is not a film that all is inaccessible, no it's already happened.
But it's also bad because if it done wrong the result will be disastrous. Like when you prepare the pie so good of your grandmother and you miss it, your dish will be twice as bad. Well, stop talking about pie, now the movie.
Glory Road is a movie based on a true story really good. A Cinderella story, but true. The film's strengths is not only about moral values, emotions that you can get out, but the characters, the making and the history make the film's success.
Josh Lucas has been the pinnacle of his career, he is strong, convincing and authentic. I would love to have him as coach in high school. Congratulations to a authentic film that can be measured at any other sports movie.
The only drawback is that sports movies are often snapshots of each other, but well. Bravo Glory Road!
