Review of Glory Road (2006) by Gustavmarkovic31 . — 11 Sep 2012
Boring from beginning to end, it's something that we have ALL SEEN BEFORE!
You have your Coach Carter, Remember The Titans, Jerry McGuire and thousands more, so why in the world did anyone think that we needed this sop-fest, sooky, cliche-ridden sap?
Josh Lucas is old in this dull film as the basketball coach with troubles. OOH, that's new! and look, he's going against everyone's judgement and getting a multi-racial basketball team. Never seen that one before!
And listening to all that hip-hop talk from the so-called basketball players is enough to make my brain drip out of my ears. I'm so friggen sick of it.
In a shitty sports film, there is always a "oh, I don't think I'm good enough, but I'm gonna do my best" theme, and without fail, we see it here, with people sobbing on about how poor their childhood was and if they don't play basketball, they can't support their families. Well BOO HOO. that rings a bell... hang on, didn't I watch this kind of thing in EVERY SINGLE OTHER SPORTS FILM?
The answer to your question, with a grunt and anger hidden in voice is a resounding YESS!!!!
Please, No more of these crappy wastes of celluloid, money and time.
