Review of Glorious 39 (2009) by Anthony H — 01 May 2012
I really enjoyed this film because not only were the costumes beautiful the performances were great. Romola Garai gave a brillant performance, it is shame she gets little roles in major films. Eddie Redmayne was great and is also very underrated.
Overall all I can say this is good period film that shows a dark side of WWII that many people don't talk about. A time when people would put their cats to sleep and children did cruel things ( you will understand if you watch the film).
