Review of Glitter (2001) by Russell W — 10 Apr 2009
This movie isn't in the so-bad-it's-good category. There are no unintentionally funny dialogue, goofy scenes, or anything else that makes a crummy movie enjoyable. Instead, it's full of boring scenes, bad plot, and the stupidest protagonist in the history of film.
But really, the movie is pretty bad. Mariah Carey can't act. The story is boring, and the film takes place in a weird alternate universe 1980's where people dress and act like they're from the 21st century. The cinematography's atrocious, and the editing is so poor that often you're not sure if minutes or months have passed between scenes.
