Review of Glengarry Glen Ross (1992) by Ryan K — 01 Oct 2010
On screen modern theater at its absolute finest. A surprising all star cast all around are at the top of their game. This film, that is over an hour and a half, runs like a 45 minute episode of a drama.
It picks up the pace from the beginning and burns strong the entire time until the satisfying conclusion. The production values are modest, there is not a whole lot going on, but the actors immediately immerse you in their slimy, underground world.
Jack Lemmon and Al Pacino really steal the show by the end of the film. The film is really worth watching, if for nothing else, for the excellent, short performance turned in by Alec Baldwin within the first 20 minutes of the movie.
This is an acting and screen writing clinic and it is not to be missed.
