Review of Glengarry Glen Ross (1992) by Sebastian H — 27 Sep 2011
Glengarry Glen Ross is a fascinating look at the daily lives of a salesman. Only now a problem has come upon them, keeping their jobs this causes conflict and a robbery. Surprisingly to me the story was well paced and good enough to keep interested, what really makes this motion picture rock is its ensemble cast.
The performances from the cast are pure awesome. Al Pacino gives a stunning, Oscar nominated performance in a role he no doubt should have won for. He seriously convinced me that he was a salesman the agression he has in his eyes when he lost a deal was just great.
Alec Baldwin gave a cool, cocky and great performance as Blake, also Kevin Spacey in one of his earliest film roles gave a great, hard edged portrayal of the head of the office struggling to keep his job.
The scenes with Pacino interacting with Spacey are the highlights of the film.
