Review of Glengarry Glen Ross (1992) by Jesse Z — 04 Apr 2009
I can find no reason to not award this phenomenal film 5 stars. The whole movie is dialogue driven with very simple sets, and limited scenery, and the plot is simple... 4 men are pitted against each other in a battle to see who can sell the most real estate, 2 men keep their jobs winner gets a cadillac and second gets a set of steak knives, the other two.
.. well they just lose their jobs! But the real beauty of this film is David Mamet's script, also accompanied by probably the most talented set of actors come together in a film, and which could easily be described as Jack Lemmon's best performance and possibly one of the best performances ever.
