Review of Glen or Glenda (1953) by Giffy G — 27 May 2008
Let me preface this by saying that enjoyment of this movie and its quality are mutually exclusive. This movie is enjoyable because it is very, very bad. There's is an over-extended dream sequence that both confuses and angers the average audience, the acting is as pathetic as you'd expect from an Ed Wood movie, and the costuming (which you'd expect to be good for a movie about transvestites) was laughable.
The movie, however, is one of those "so bad it's good" gems. If you don't like to watch bad movies, don't watch it. If you like cult classics or bad movies, this is a must-see.
