Plan 9 From Outer Space is Ed Wood's most famous creation, but this film is his most bizarre effort. Glen or Glenda is a loosely autobiographical tale that features a man struggling with his life as a transvestite.
The "dramatic" portions of this story are juxtaposed with a flimsy documentary vibe, an onslaught of completely unrelated stock footage, and a voiceover from Bela Lugosi that seemingly came from a totally different movie.
An aberration of cinema, Glen or Glenda is an ineptly made yet freakishly poignant picture.
