Watch this film, period. Sorry La La Land, I thought you would be my fav film of 2016, but Gleason just made it to the top of the list. Friends in the states with Amazon Prime (and those flying AA), you can watch it free right now.
And you should. This is the sweetest but most heartbreaking film you will experience from 2016. I'm glad this was a night flight with all lights dimmed, because I was pretty much teary eyed from the start and lost it a few times.
Such a courageous family to intimately document all the struggles of ALS, but also a beautiful testament to the will to live because of love. Two thumbs up, way way up.
