Review of Glass (2019) by Esteban D — 18 Jan 2019
83%.
This movie goes to show that the critics donâ(TM)t know shit and go along with what theyâ(TM)re told to like. Really makes me wonder why Hollywood hates Shyamalan. Probably because he hasnâ(TM)t sold his soul to the devil to make movies.
Characters are fascinating, exploring their origins and creating new ones. The 3 main characters are paired with minor ones that work to create emotional scenes which ultimately pay off at the end. The Beast or Kevin Crump with the girl he saved, The Overseer with his son, which plays like a Robin is great. And the Mastermind with his loving mother who despite her sonâ(TM)s attrocitoed she remains proud.
The twist at the end makes sense and harps back to my comment about Pedowood, an elite club, hating Shyamalan. Remember, there are people in this world who do not want you to realize your full potential. Youâ(TM)ll understand this when you go watch the movie. Itâ(TM)s unique and it works.
Camera angles and shoots used was also refreshing and the music added real tension to the scenes.
