Review of Glass (2019) by Tjeerd R — 18 Jan 2019
I think a lot of the bad reviews have more to do with some critics disliking Shyamalan than actually having reviewed the movie. Overall its a descent conclusion to a much anticipated for trilogy. We must not forget there has been a lot of time between Unbreakable and Split.
Although Shyamalan has nicely integrated that fact in the plot, it didnt prevent the movie starting from a confusing point for some viewers, mostly so if not having recently watched the movies that came before Glass.
When having the storyline of all movies into mind, Glass makes much more sense, some critics might be surprised. The movie itself however could have been better. Overall it seemed quite chaotic and some plot failures/questions could easily have been prevented.
The conclusion of the movie feels far from satisfying as Hoped for. Regardless, the story is clear and the movie is worth sitting through, you wont be bored. Outstanding acting performance, again, by James Mcavoy.
