Once again; the critics make the mistake of comparing a Shyamalan movie to others in a "Genre". This is NOT a superhero movie a'la Marvel/DC Universe; and if that's what you're looking for or comparing it to, of course you're going to be disappointed.
For all its "superhero" antics (actually a red herring), this movie is actually a suspense thriller; and not a bad one at that..
