Review of Gladiator (2000) by Delaney K — 22 Jan 2015

I had to rate this movie out of five stars, I would give it a two. In general I thought the movie was very boring and I just did not like it. Throughout out the whole movie I was constantly looking forward to the moment when it would get really good, or something would catch my attention, but that never happened. I always found myself losing interest in it and looking more and more forward to the time that the movie would be over.

There was one part of the movie that I didn't mind and that was the ending. Having Commodus killed and Maximus reunited with his family in the afterlife was at least a nice ending for such a boring movie. Also, Russell Crowe did a great job playing his part and I feel that the only reason people even enjoy this movie is because of his acting and the many battle scenes throughout. I was really hoping that I would like this movie, but I just didn't enjoy it and I don't plan on watching it again.
