Review of Gladiator (2000) by Joey H — 30 Aug 2013
The moral virtues of prudence, justice, temperance, and fortitude espoused by the character who plays Marcus Aurelius in this film, is personified in the life of the Gladiator, played by Russel Crowe. This film depicts the worst and best of pagan Rome.
A journey of a Roman General who, by duty and the will of a former Emperor, reluctantly chooses to uphold the idea of a Republic, against tyranny and oppression. It goes beyond a story and transcends into a spiritual journey, which leads him home.
