Review of Gladiator (2000) by Michaela D — 26 Apr 2015

It is one of my more favorite period drama piece, though most of it is fictional. I'm a pretty harsh rater, so don't get me wrong. Four stars is as high as I will give a movie unless it stuns me.

This movie is excellent, but it didn't stun me. Story was generic, cliche, but it was carried out well and the action scenes moved the movie well. Only thing that bothered me through the whole film was the constant use of "sire.

" Come on now, don't need to be a history buff to know ancient Romans do not call the caesar "sire.".
