Review of Gladiator (2000) by Christian B — 21 Jan 2015
I would rate Gladiator as a 4/5. While this movie did have a decent plot line and good actors, it was lacking in other places. At sometimes the characters would do things that were a bit confusing if you didn't know exactly what was going on.
The cinematography was generally good, but there were a few times when a different camera angle or lighting changes could have drastically improved scenes. There was good action throughout the movie, but they could have showed more fighting to really show what a gladiator would have to have gone through.
I understand that Hollywood has to make things more interesting so people will want to watch the movies, but making things a little closer to reality would not have hurt the plot of the movie. Even with all the little things that could have been changed, I still enjoyed watching Gladiator.
