One of the best movies of all time. Outstanding cast, with unforgettable performances. Joaquin Phoenix should have won the Oscar that year (he was nominated). He was phenomenal as the wicked Commodus and I watch this movie every year just to see his performance.
Also one of the best musical scores by Hans Zimmer. Russell Crowe was magnificent.
