Review of Gladiator (1992) by Lexi B — 19 Jan 2015
Ridley Scott's Oscar-winning Gladiator is filled with great filmmaking, solid performances, and white-knuckling, heart-racing combat sequences. But the running time is too long, the story feels depressing, and there's not much emotional depth.
It's a historically very inaccurate drama, but I have to agree that it is entertaining at times. It's one of those well-done movies that doesn't require multiple viewings..
