An intense, violent, yet very much human epic about the adventures of a man with nothing to lose and everything to gain. Incredibly well acted, with a terrific and intense performance from Joaquin Pheonix.
Expertly directed, and an excellent story as well. It's an overall stupendous film about nobility, dignity, and standing for what you believe in.
