Review of Gladiator (1992) by Paul M — 10 Feb 2015
This movie may have won the Academy over, but I am less impressed. I don't feel like I was given enough time with Maximus to really care about his plight when it happens. Joaquin Phoenix's performance was a highlight if only for sheer camp value.
This movie was not horrible and it wanted to be a great movie. I thought it was okay. Just okay.
