"Gladiator" works superbly well because it keeps you invested in every scene and is truly crowd pleasing. It's a movie with sweeping action scenes and carries a lot of genuine emotional weight.
The performances are all top notch. It's a great movie that is entertaining all the way through. I never was able to predict what would happen next and the movie's ending hit me hard. It's entertaining and emotionally resonant, a must see for anyone.
